We were as saddened and shocked as everyone else to hear yesterday on October 5, 2011, that Apple co-founder Steve Jobs had passed away after his long fight with pancreatic cancer. Our condolences to his family and friends and to everyone who shares a sense of loss of this bright light from the world. Given the impact of Apple on the music world after the introduction of the iPod in 2001 and iTunes during Jobs successful second act with Apple, we just wanted to pay tribute to his creative and business genius. Mostly, we wanted to say thank you for introducing the iPod, which has transformed the way we access and appreciate music forever. Rest well, Mr. Jobs. You came to serve.
